Welcome to The Spiritual, an on-line resource of spirituality and natural wisdom.

The Spiritual has a humble origin. The fundamental concept of this website (or a website) was first originated in 1995-96 in Mumbai, India when our small spiritual group, under the guidance of Rao Maharaj, decided to publish The Grey Matter Revolution: A Journey Within - the compilation of Rao Maharaj's talks and teachings on mind-brain duality, creation of ego, thoughtless-ness and workings of neurons in the human brain - in print and on-line. The description does not sound as "spiritual" as many people generally interpret. However, the "spirituality" in our sense is the basic existence of the human life and its sensitivities as an integral part of the universe. The concept is discussed in detail in this website under "Natural Spirituality" link on most of the pages.

It is always hard to put spiritual wisdom in words as it goes very opposite to its essence – thought-less brain and body in harmony with the nature, wordless, egoless and self-aware. However, it was decided that Rao Maharaj's spiritual wisdom and group's experiences and knowledge - specially the Grey Matter text - should be shared with the world for the benefit of all those who seek the path of truth. As such the objective of this website is not to prove anything or generate a new theory. Rather, it just presents the materials available to it and lets the spiritual minds find their own inspirations and interpretations. It started with a text only publication of the first drafts of Grey Matter Revolution (GMR) on the internet on a sub-account in 1997. Following that, GMR was moved to Tripod free hosting and also published in print in India.

In 1999 in Australia, plans were made for "The Spiritual" newsletter built around the concepts of thoughtless-ness (wu-nein), mind-brain duality and egolessness. That did not materialise due to my personal circumstances and the costs involved. However, the effort was on and finally in 2004 the first version of The Spiritual website was developed and uploaded. The material was aplenty with the fourteen chapters of GMR, my 20,000 word MBA thesis on spiritual management and other texts that I had gathered over the years readily available. Bryan Patterson, renowned for his "Faithworks" column in The Sunday Herald Sun, Melbourne, was kind enought to give us the permission to re-print his published columns on The Spiritual. Other sections were added in the following months. It was first designed as a monthly journal but time constraint and the amount of contents being provided in each issue forced us to change it to a half-yearly journal instead. Hope this will allow for more visitors to absorb the magnitude of textand resources available on the website.

The Spiritual looks forward to your continuous support and inspiration. It only has an on-line presence at the moment but if sufficient resources become available, a print edition is a possibility in the future.
